We are about to say goodbye to June, the first-born child of summer. There are still two full hot and sandy months to go. However, think about it. Summer starts right after Easter for a Greek human being. Right after the Easter fast for the religious ones we go ahead eating poor lamp after lamp, tons of red eggs and of course our favorite chocolate Easter bunnies! Right after this traditional unhealthy food spree, we get kinda depressed cause the weather gets slightly warmer and its the pre-summer mode on. Hundreds of role models surround us and we feel helpless. Theres only one solution mates. Its about time you sew your pretty little mouth. You count your winter savings (if you are a lucky one owning such a precious treasure!) and then you run like the wind to the nearest gym and subscribe. Come on we both know that it aint gonna happen. Admit it. You took the first step but thats it. Youre crawling from now on. Unfortunately you are born in an extremely tricky era. You are raised believing that your worth depends on your weight, your skin color, your sex or your religious and political views. You arent taught how to be a genuinely kind hearted human being. You have to be tall, you have to be skinny, you have to face a perfectly shaped six fucking pack once you stare at the mirror. Otherwise it will break. And you know what they say.. a broken mirror comes with at least 7 years of bad luck... So then you do your best for that perfect image and you forget all about the real you. Our generation fears that they might someday be in love. Its the most unique feeling on Earth, yet it turns your skin pale and your heart cold. Because thats how you are raised. You think that once your significant other meets someone taller, thinner, prettier than you thats it. Game over. If you face such a situation that was your significUnt other honey, not your soul mate. People tend not to struggle for a better version of them, they only struggle to look better on the outside. Well heres some news fellas. It will fade away pretty soon. Accept who you are and do your best becoming even better, not completely flawless cause thats boring after all. Its so disrespectful trying to change who you are. A famous Greek journalist is no longer on ''this'' side cause she suffered for about 10 years with anorexia but finally it won. She thought she would be happy and problem free if her jeans seemed kinda loose and buggy and if she needed new skinny ones. You see more and more people suffer from mental illnesses nowadays as they arent struggling for a better life but for a better image. Read, travel, meet new people, discuss, get a dog, love, cry, laugh out so loud that all your negative vibes end up completely deaf. Finally please appreciate what you ve got before it becomes a painful memory.
