September is the new January

New Year's resolutions. It feels like New Year's Eve even though we don't wear any velvety gloves or silk scarves. Despite the fact that it's not freezing cold outside and we aren't lying next to our beloved ones in front of the fireplace drinking hot chocolate and telling funny stories... (well, it seems I've painted a quite picturesque and cozy portrait and I have an urge to dive into it..! Thankfully winter is indeed coming though your majesties)! Anyway let's come back to reality folks. We are in the late mids of August and we watch closely as summer moves on. Its the end of a salty, calm and sandy chapter. Most of us spend a whole winter looking forward to wear our swimsuits and throw away our alarm clocks. Responsibilities and anxiety are slowly being deleted... When we finally walk through August we feel the need to wear our cozy jackets and blue jeans again. We kinda enjoy that chilly breeze blowing and we are getting ready to replace that tasty mojito with a black Greek coffee. And aw how I love that smell in the morning... Its our daily routine calling after all and it might sound crazy but we do miss it. You know what they say. When we get used to something its hard to let go. As far as Im concerned this time of the year feels much more like New Year's Eve than New Year itself. People tend to set new goals, tryna pursue new ambitions, alter their so-far lifestyle, trying to figure out a way to come closer to their dreams. It's like a bet with yourself, a very personal case, a deal. You shake hands with that reflection in the mirror. You must admit. It is a new beginning. The after-summer period rings a certain bell. September is the new January.
PS. To all those poor or not so poor souls out there I wish that you find a way to secure your dreams inside your dreamcatcher. <3
